It’s almost Christmas, and Kevenoll do Brasil wants to present you with a recipe from our family for yours! Gather the kids and come check out the step by step to prepare these delicious Christmas cookies that will further brighten your Christmas dinner!

Christmas - recipe

Makings:

  • 1 whole egg;
  • 250 grams of wheat flour;
  • 100 grams of icing sugar (or 3/4 cup of brown sugar tea);
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder;
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger powder;
  • 1 teaspoon of knots powdered;
  • 3 tablespoons (soup) of butter.

Preparation:

  • Mix the egg, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutcada and butter in a bowl;
  • Add the flour gradually, mixing with a spatula. When it is too heavy to use the spatula, start to suck the dough with your hands. Add the flour gradually, mixing until you get a smooth dough that does not stick to the hands (but be careful not to get too dry and hard);
  • Wrap the dough in plastic film and refrigerate for 30 minutes;
  • Remove from the refrigerator and open the dough with a roll to the thickness of about half an inch. A valuable tip: place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper to prevent it from sticking to the roll;
  • Use Christmas-format dins to cut out the biscuits;
  • Bake the biscuits in a greased form with butter and sprinkled with wheat flour, in a preheated oven at 180º for about 25 minutes. Keep an eye out so it doesn’t burn! When the edges are golden, you can remove them now.

Decoration:

Use ready-made icing, or mix in a lemon essence bowl, 2 tablespoons of water and 2 cup of icing sugar. Mix (adding water gradually), until it reaches a slightly thicker consistency than honey. Separate into different containers, and mix edible dye from the colors of your choice.

Now just call the kids, and adults too, and unleash creativity in the décor!

Other important tips:

  • Do not forget to sanitize your hands well before starting the recipe, especially when sow the dough with your hands;
  • If you prefer, you can wear procedure gloves and a cap when decorating, avoiding contaminating the biscuits or dropping hair on the dough;

Kevenoll wishes everyone a happy holiday!
